Note to the public: Yesterday was the first anniversary of the release of Star Wars: Episode III, Revenge of the Sith. It doesn't seem like that was a year ago. Ah, how time flies. =)

But did you know,
That when it snows,
My eyes become large and,
The light that you shine can be seen.
What's shakin' bacon? Long-time, no update. Kinda. I have written posts, I just haven't published them yet. Long story. Anyway--- I've had a lovely week. Yesterday my last AP test came and went. Biology. It was decent- the essay questions were a little strange, but I'll get over it. However, Meadows did start this week. Hooray! I love swimming! Outside! With 16 people in my lane! Trying to swim 200s! Hooray! Really, though, Meadows is fabulous. I also have this huge expectations before the season starts, and somehow they always are received and delivered. Yesterday, for example, neither El nor Angie were at practice, but Brian was, and he's a riot, as was Steph, who also cracks me up. And though Jilly wasn't there, nor Shane, and there were only 2 coaches for 60+ kids, the chaos adds to the charm. I love Meadows! Woot! (they re-did the deck, too, and got new lane ropes that don't shred your skin when you run into them. Hooray!)

I also started coaching this week, which I also love. If possible, Mesa practices are slightly more entertaining than Meadows, though at Meadows I'm the king, whereas Mesa I have no idea what's going on most of the time. Alas. But it's great. And I love Amy and Dan, they are truly amazing characters. I hope I'm like them when I grow up. The kids are really cute, too, and I'm learning their names fairly quickly. =) It's difficult, though, there's a lot of little kids. On Monday the 11+ come to practice. That'll be weird, because I know all of the 15-18s, and most of the 13-14s. *sigh* It's fun, though. We get in the water and swim around with the kids, some of who have no bloody idea how to swim. But that's okay. That's what I'm here for.

Yesterday was the IBall, the geek fest of a dance at Fairview. It was great. All the IB kids, (diploma and certificate) had a semi-formal dance with absolutely terrible dance music, and lots and lots of food. I made cupcakes- they were a hit. =) But it was quite enjoyable- I knew everyone there. And Shane is an amazing dancer! Goodness. I remember when he used to be shy. But Alan was there, and Kelsey, and Alex, and Eryn, and Sarah, and lots of other people. One or two extremely awkward shots (one involving Lily and Dan grinding. oh dear...) but the night was very enjoyable. Then Sarah and I went to Starbucks to get non-starbucks-related-products and met El, who was coming out of Jamba Juice. She's working these days. Woe is me. All my friends are making money. Well, I am too, but my hours are less intense then theirs. Hooray for summer!

'Cause you're my secret
Alone I see myself in you, lazy eye
I wake up, see you, standing in the doorway
You were crying, but I was only dreaming

My new favorite TV show is House M.D. Besides West Wing, of course, but that's ending in a mere two episodes, so I must adopt a new show. Although do people watch TV in college? Or will I be too busy having a marvelous time? Who knows? But one hour a week of medical emergencies won't be terrible, I guess. Anyway, last night was the second part of the episode "Euphoria" and it was fabulous. My favorite character, of course, is Dr. Allison Cameron, because she's the nice one. House is a bastard. I would hate to have him as my doctor. But Cameron is great. But on Tuesday, Foreman (another doc.) was infected by some insane bacteria/virus/fungus/parasite because he broke into a patient's house (they tend to do that a lot). House wouldn't let the other two doctors go back, though, because he didn't want them to get sick, too. So while Cameron was giving Foreman some medicine, he got angry that they hadn't gone back, and STABBED HER WITH A DIRTY NEEDLE! I mean really, come on! She's already had a HIV scare, slept with the other guy while she was high, AND you stole her article and said "we're not friends, just coworkers". Then you stab her with a needle. House is right, m'dear, what does Foreman have to do to make you hate him? But then he apologized, and it was tear-jerking, because we didn't know if he was going to wake up from the induced-coma. Ah! Drama. It sounds ridiculous written down, I guess, but it's really good on TV. Dr. Cameron is the nice one, though, and the boys give her a hard time for having a heart. But then Foreman said he wanted her to be his medical proxy, even though his dad was there. That caused a slight family rift, but all was well because the brain biopsy worked fine. Except maybe not. We'll have to wait until next week. *sigh*

I hurt my knee last night as I was running around the corner from the guest bedroom into the hallway. It wasn't a full-on dislocation but I definately felt the pop in-and-out and that is why I am posting when I should be in biology. Fortunately, there is an IB biology test today, so most of my class won't be there. I'm taking AP Bio later in the month. And man, did it hurt. I've only had one serious injury and that was dislocating my knee. I was on cruches for a few days after that, and almost didn't get to go on spring trips. But I did. And the only side-effect is I have a good excuse not to do breaststroke. And also it goes in and out of place more easily, I guess. I get hurt in the lamest ways.

If Heaven and Hell decide
That they both are satisfied
Illuminate the NOs on their vacancy signs
If there's no one beside you
When your soul embarks
Then I'll follow you into the dark

Goodness! So much has happened since I last updated. First and foremost, it's May! Which is a-May-zing. Happy May Day, and all that jazz. Angie and I made May Day baskets and distributed them to our neighbors in the classic never-being-caught methods we have become famous for. I do still have some easter candy, which is a sign of good luck. Or something.

Next thing that happened- I went to Dont' Drink the Water- the play Fairview put on in the spring. It was my last Spring Play ever! I am slightly jealous of those who are going to CU because they can come back for Pops or plays. But it was great- kudos to those in it. I highly enjoyed it, and didn't stop laughing for the majority of the second act.

I took AP Stats and IB English tests yesterday. Hooray that they are done with! Today in Stats (since we still have to go to class until the 11th) Emily, Ellen, Ryen, and I played with cups. Cup stacking is quite entertaining, I must admit. We built a giant tower/pyramid thing. It was a work of art.

I started writing my senior goodbye column today. It was so hard.

And it's raining! Hooray for rain. April showers bring may flowers. (and what do may flowers bring? Pilgrims! HAHAHA) Except it's not april anymore, is it? Rats! =)
