And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25
I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
Lynn told me to listen to that song. And I did. It's pretty good, not great. I like Green Day's "Good Ridance" better as a so-long-song. The best, of course, is
There's a sad sort of clanging from the clock in the hall
And the bells in the steeple too
And up in the nursery an absurd little bird
Is popping out to say cuckoo
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu
Adieu, adieu, to yieu and yieu and yieu
Then again, you can never beat Maria Von Trapp in any competition, if you ask me. Unless you're Mary Poppins. But "whatev" as Steph would say. I think everyone should have a theme-song. It can change, I guess. I like the Indian-Jones theme, Star Wars is good too though. Hmmm, too tough to call.

There were bells on the hill
But I never heard them ringing,
No, I never heard them at all
Till there was you.
That's from The Music Man but the Enchantment Choir also sang it. Isn't that nice? Nice, it is indeed. I'm watching FILLMORE- a very strange cartoon on Cartoon Network. It's slightly entertaining, but hardly. Boulder Creek Festival is today. I'm very excited to go. Graham went with me one year, but this year we're going with Ellen and maybe Alexa. Who knows. Anyway. Have a fabulous summer!

Mary Poppins, Wizard of Oz, Anne of Green Gables, who knows what I'm going to do next? I like this one, though, don't you? Mary Poppins was my favorite, I think. Anyway, TOOTS (as Jinger would say)

Sunday all the lights of London
Shining , Sky is fading red to blue
I'm kicking through the Autumn leaves
And wondering where it is you might be going to
My name is KRISTEN not Christine, or Krista, or Kay, or Angie, or Kirsten, or Christain, or Christina, or Kris, or Chris, or anything else you may want to call me. kay, Boysenberry is better, Kristen is the best. "pal, buddy, friend", those all work, too. BUT NOT CHRISTINE. Got it? Good. SOmeone called me that today, if you hadn't guessed. And she should have known my name. It kinda shocked me that she said it wrong. Maybe it was just a slip of the tongue... I don't know. She SHOULD have known my name. I knew HER name. SIGH. Those Link people are right. It really does matter if you get someone's name right.

It still feels like I have my swim suit on, even though I don't. Curious.
I REALLY wanted to go to the zoo.

A man walks down the street
Says why am I soft in the middle now
Why am I soft in the middle
When the rest of my life is so hard?
A day of ups and downs, that's for sure. Good and bad, light and dark, black and white, highs and lows, pros and cons, apples and lemons, sheep and cows. Okay, not sure about that last one, but you get the picture. Let's list them, shall we?
    UPS of 5/20
  1. Pig disection (which was VERY cool, if I do say so myself)
  2. Spanish test- which I didn't study for at ALL, and I think I did alright
  3. Swim practice was GREAT
  4. And those great brownie/cookie things were here when I got home
    DOWNS of 5/20
  1. Fit for Life- an hour of frisbee throwing. It wasn't THAT bad, but it was such a nice day, we could have been doing something more fun.
  2. Spanish- especially torturous today. The test from UPs list was not DURING the class
  3. I don't get to go to the zoo. Sigh. That's the worst thing. AHHHH. I don't think I'll survive. It makes me want to cry....
  4. Stupid LA grading system. It really made me mad.
That's what, 4 pros, 4 cons? Usually pros are waayyyy ahead of cons. Meh. Interesting up/down day.

If you feel a quiet longing
Lift your heart into the wind
There you'll find my kindred spirit
There you'll meet me as a friend
It is just a kindred feeling
And a song to let you in...
That is the first song that I don't actually know. At all. Some songs I only know one line to and I type them into GOOGLE to see the rest, but this one, I have no IDEA what it sounds like. Sorry if it's an offensive song. It's by Cyndi Lauper. Yeppers
The reason I picked this "wonderful" song to start my post is a) All the songs that were stuck in my head, I had already started a post with and b) I've been thinking about kindred spirits. There are wonderful people inthe world who aren't kindred spirits, but wonderful friends. Being a great person doesn't mean you're a kindred spirit to me. Most of my friends aren't kindred spirits, hardley any of them, in fact. But there are people who ARE kindred spirits, who just CLICK. Sigh. I first heard of kindred spirits from Anne of Green Gables , who, in my opinion, is very cool.

ANNE OF GREEN GABLE GOOD QUOTES
"It would be such a romantic experience, nearly to drown."
"All life lessons are not learned at college. Life teaches them everywhere."
"There's such a lot of different Annes in me. I sometimes think that is why I'm such a troublesome person. If I was just the one Anne it would be ever so much more comfortable, but then it wouldn't be half so interesting."

HAHAHAHAHAHA.

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
Who would've thought...it figures
I watched Xena: Warrior Princess yesterday for the first time since a LONG TIME. It was good. I like the old ones better than the newer ones. Not that I have seen any of the new ones. I haven't seen very many of the old ones, either, but Gabriel looks better with long hair. Meh. That's the story of the day. I guess. It wasn't really a story, was it? no.

The second star to the right
Shines with a light that's rare
And if it's Never Land you need
It's light will lead you there

This is salmon colored font. I like salmon. So does Ella and Emily. The Nichols, however, are usually anti-fish, but Angie really likes it, too. So that's 3 out of 5. Not bad. Although the font may not look salmon on this background. I don't know. I will find out, soon enough, I guess, as soon as I am done writing this. Yep.

I got a huge compliment yesterday. It made me very happy. There are only of few compliments that make you really really happy, and they have to fulfill all of the following
    Requirements
  1. Meant in all honesty (obviously)
  2. The complimentee must respect the complimenter
  3. It must be true
  4. It must be out of the ordinary type of compliment
NOW, I'm not saying any other kind of compliment isn't very nice. Lots of people compliment me every day, saying everything from "I like your shirt" or "You're very springy (as in the season)" to "You're the most un-boring person I've even known". Quite a variety. However, they aren't the lift-you-off-your-feet kind of compliment.

You know, I haven't decided what I'm going to be when I grow up. I've wanted to be a teacher since forever, and I still think that would be great, but I don't know what age group anymore, and I don't know if I want to do something else first. Like biology, or authoring, or directing. I don't know. I have, however, decided who I want to be LIKE when I grow up. I want to
  1. Teach like Mrs. Cady and Mrs. Heinz
  2. Smile like Mrs. Mierzejewski
  3. Care like Mrs. Rundell (notice a theme?)
  4. Read like Erica
  5. Learn like Dad
  6. Ride my bike like Lance Armstrong
  7. Ski like Picabo Street
  8. Be as creative as Jean
  9. Be as powerful as Alice and Nick
  10. Hug like Leah
  11. Be as funny as Mr. Ellis when he's funny
  12. Be as determined as Jesse
  13. Be as neat (as in "cool", not as in "tidy") as Tiffany
  14. Sing like Julie Andrews
Okay, maybe that last one isn't very realistic. =) Maybe trying to be all the above isn't very realistice, either, but I'll try. Maybe I'll end up as a mass of confusion and chaos. Not that that's a bad thing, though.....
Live Long and Prosper

I made up that song. Yep. It's great, ain't it? Blogger just changed a lot about their set-up, template stuff. It's pretty cool, actually. Yepp.

This 9.2 mile mass start hill climb starts in front of the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine at 4th and Mapleton in Boulder. You may not notice the picturesque surroundings while climbing the several steep pitches. Three short descents will offer very little recovery before entering the last few miles of steep switch-backing dirt. Parking and staging will be at the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine. This stage will give the climbers a chance to make up lost time and make race leaders dig deep to maintain their lead. The forecast calls for pain!

Doesn't that sound like fun? I think so. Kinda. This race is a stage- race, and I couldn't have done it- three touch biking days in a row. Nope. Not me. Though I kinda wish I could.....

But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, the major lift
It's 11:17 and I'm at my house, drinking lemonade with ice, writing on my blog. I should be at school, drinking warm Capri Suns, studying something. I should be studying something, now, too. The reason I'm at home is that I have 2 hours off on Wednesday- thanks to block days. I usually don't come home, but I decided to today. It is very nice. And I saw both Mr. and Mrs. Weigel while I was riding my bike home. Though I don't think that they knew who I was. Oh well, I was going very fast, like a BLUR.
That says "blur" if you can't read it. Yepyep. NOW I am going to go study something. history, most likely.

Everywhere we go
People want to know
Who we are
Where we come from
So, we tell them
We are the Tigers
We are the Tigers....
That was in a frosted flakes comercial I just saw on TV. It was actually a very good commercial, from my amatuer point of view. They had different sports teams doing different drills and such, and all of them singing the song above. Very touching =)
    Good Names for Bands
  1. Flying monkeys
  2. Soggy Cereal
  3. Let's Eat!!
  4. Excessive Exclamation Points
  5. Flaming Eyeballs
  6. Buffalo Wings
  7. 5 C's In A Row
  8. Chain Ring
  9. Biology Scandal
Feel free to add on.
